Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16 September 2026

These terms apply when you buy from Faith Draper or commission a piece. They don’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.

About us

Faith Draper is a ceramics studio based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at faithdraperceramics@gmail.com.

Handmade work

Everything is made by hand, so colour, glaze, size and marks will vary a little from the photos and from piece to piece. This is part of the work and isn’t a fault.

Shop orders

The online shop is currently closed and products are shown as out of stock. When it reopens, prices will be shown in pounds sterling and a contract is formed when we confirm your order has been dispatched.

You can cancel a shop order and return unused items within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the price and standard delivery. You pay the cost of returning items unless they are faulty or not as described.

Seconds are sold with small cosmetic flaws, described on each listing. You can still return them if they are faulty in a way that wasn’t described.

Commissions

After your enquiry we will send a quote, a sketch or description and an estimated timeline. Nothing is made until you approve the design and pay a 50% deposit.

Commissioned pieces are made to your specification, so the 14-day cancellation right doesn’t apply to them. If you cancel after paying the deposit, we will refund it minus the cost of materials and work already done.

Making usually takes 6 to 10 weeks. Kiln firings can go wrong; if a piece fails we will remake it at no extra cost, which may add time. The balance is due before dispatch or collection.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we may photograph commissioned work and share it on this site and on social media.

Delivery and breakages

We pack every piece carefully. If something arrives broken, email a photo of the item and the packaging within 7 days and we will replace or refund it.

Faulty items

If an item is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including a repair, replacement or refund.

Care

Tableware is dishwasher and microwave safe unless the listing says otherwise. One-offs, bronze glazes and display pieces should be washed by hand.

Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We don’t exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
